Dad got it for him!

Evan's Doctor Appointment

Yesterday Evan went to the doctor for his 6 month check-up! He got another A+! He is SO good at the doctor- he gets very shy, but he doesn't complain and lets Dr. Hillery poke and prod at him. He has had a weird diaper rash and Dr. Hillery said that that was probably because he was developing a skin sensitivity to the diapers or wipes we are using. So, Eric went out and grabbed some Huggies at the store. After only ONE Huggies, his rash is all better. We also are putting on some Hydrocortisone cream so it won't itch so much, because she noticed that he seemed to want to scratch.

Evan's Stats:
Birth- 8 lbs. 5 oz. 20 inches
6 months- 18 lbs. 8 oz. 27 inches

Wordless Wednesday

Becoming a Little Person

Evan has become such a personality and is becoming more and more like a "kid" each day. When we eat meals, he will sit in his high chair and play with toys and he just looks SO big compared to when he first sat in there 2 months ago. He has been eating solid food for 2 months now & is moving to 2 meals now (although it's a little bit of a struggle). He can roll across an entire room to get to whatever toy or object he wants to play with or see. He smiles and laughs constantly, but will also make it very clear when he is cranky. He is SO close to sitting up by himself; he gets distracted and tips over, but it won't be too long until those trunk muscles are strong enough! He wants to crawl SO SO bad, but hasn't quite got it down yet. He has certain motions figured out, but hasn't put them together. Again, won't be long until we have to rush to Toys R Us for some baby gates!

New Jammies!

Evan got a bunch of new clothes this week! They were supposed to be for summer, so I got the 12-18 month size.. Well, they already fit. Hahaha! They are loose, so they will fit for a while, but they are the cutest! Old Navy's sizes are so messed up!

They just found out they are having a baby, due 9/11/09!
Maybe he/she will be born 9/9/09, that would be AWESOME!
Or maybe the baby will be born on 8/27/09, that would be cute too! ; )

Well, 5 months have come and gone..
Evan was born 5 months ago. There have been ups and there have been downs. There have been challenges and it's been a whole lot of fun.
We are so happy to have our little cuddlebug in our lives. He's so sweet and fun and while he may be a pain in the butt sometimes, well.. Boys will be boys! : )

In FiVe months, this little baby (who I can barely call little anymore) has learned so much and made us learn so much as well. It's amazing to watch him grow and learn each and every single day. He is so unbelievably smart. Each day with him is a little present. A year ago, Eric and I could have never imagined we would have a baby like Evan. A year ago, Eric & I had no idea what we were getting into.

In FiVe months, Evan has learned to laugh and to smile and... to cry when we walk away for a minute. His cute little smile with his tongue sticking out and his big dimples make every hard moment worth it. He's got two little teeth that are hoping to make an appearance soon & he wants to crawl so bad. All in time little one...

Rearranged

Well, we totally rearranged our bedroom the other day. Now you don't have to walk AROUND the bed to get to the closets and bathroom. I LOVE IT! Eric isn't sure yet.. I think he would be happier if we had better window coverings. I told him I would figure something out. Regular blinds just don't cut it for him. We also stacked our bookshelves on top of our dresser and it makes for a pretty cute presentation of my books and his Brewers stuff!

Evan's room got rearranged a while ago. Not much changed. I switched the chair and the toys and I put the crib in a corner instead of against a wall.

January has been a fun month for taking pictures! Evan has actually been smiling for me. He learns new things every single day and gets smarter by the minute. I put together this collage in Picasa. Sitting Up.. Kind of

Evan is getting SO CLOSE to sitting up! He will do a "tri-pod" sit an will reach for and play with toys! Here are some pictures of his awesomeness!

I've decided to start a new blog dedicated to my new family.
To Eric, the light in my life, who teaches me and laughs with me each and every day.
To Evan, my baby boy, my reason for everything I do.

I don't know where I would be without them and I am so grateful to have them in my life. They are everything to me.
