Super Fort!

Well, this morning Evan and I decided to get out the Super Fort. We received it at one of my baby showers from Evan's great aunt and uncle. I thought the day would never come when Evan would really appreciate it. He still doesn't totally appreciate it or know what to do and just wants to rip the curtains down, but he was amazed by the grandiose of it. I didn't think it would be as big as it is, but it takes up pretty much his entire room. We can also make a plane, helicopter or hot air balloon out of it!

March of Dimes

In Memory of Kevin Matthew 8/20/08-9/14/08

We donated some $ to the March of Dimes in honor of this beautiful baby boy. In return, a great friend of mine sent us this adorable bracelet.

Please find a way to donate to this wonderful cause. On the right side of your screen, there is a button where you can find the place to donate.

The Walk for Babies will occur in Madison, WI on May 2, 2009 at 9:30 am. The walk is 2 miles and it would be great if someone would join us! Let me know if you would like to walk in honor of Special K.

What's Been Going On?

Just because it's cute.

Evan loves to sit in here. I think it gives him a sense of security to know that there is something surrounding him.

Evan was not impressed with the swings.

Since he was such a good boy at Walmart, he got his new toy. It rolls and jingles. Unfortunately, he isn't really into it. I'm not sure he understands it. He will when he can crawl better, I hope.

He finally likes his Elmo!

It's been a while since I last posted. A lot has been going on lately. Evan got his first tooth (and the second one needs to hurry it up!). He has also been sitting up a lot better. He is still working on crawling, but he is almost there. He'll make a couple moves with the knees, but then plops right back down on his belly. He's been having a little bit of separation anxiety, so that's been rough on all of us. Recently, we have "taught" him how to put himself to sleep. We had to wean him off of his swaddler blanket, because he was rolling over onto his face in it and with no arms, we were worried he would get stuck like that. It's been a rough transition, but we are at a great point right now. It hardly takes more like 3 minutes for him to get to sleep anymore.

Coming Soon...

My cooking blog! I have decided that I would like to start some sort of foodie blog. I haven't completely conceptualized it yet, but it's in the works! I have so many ideas running through my head, it's hard to organize them into one complete thought, but it'll get there!

Look for it soon!

A Fun Night! <3 = )

This is my Boppin Penguin that I got for Christmas! I didn't get it before, but now that I can scoot around, I really like this thing! It makes music noises and even cooler noises when I bop him!

Mom kept trying new clothes on me. These are my swim trunks for summer. They are way too big now, but they won't be this summer, I hope! Can you tell I hate getting changed? Mom had to occupy me with a hanger. I also have a matching swim shirt!

Remember me saying there was only ONE sippy cup he liked? This is it! As you can see, I am getting really good at it- I know exactly what it is and what to do with it!

I wanted to crawl up onto my portable swing! It kept swinging and almost hit me in the face a few times! Mommy put me up in the swing, but I just wanted to SIT UP! I got the swing swinging and then I almost fell face first out of it, but Mommy caught me!

I love my stuffed animals! I have A LOT! In this picture, you can see Fat Kitty & Curious George!

A Grouch with The Grouch!

I am a BIG fan of the Brewers and Packers! This is my bat and my football! I got them out of my toy bins by myself!

6 months.. I'm a big boy!

This is my new carseat! It is a convertible carseat, so I can face backwards for now, but when I turn 1, I will be able to sit forwards like Mom and Dad! This was before Mom put the extra padding in it. The carseat will probably be the last one I ever need because I can use it until I am 100 lbs! Mommy picked out the best one!

Look at my preppy outfit! We went to Target and I sat in the cart. I did really well (the next day, I had to sit in a cart too, but didn't do so well!) Then we went to the new Buffalo Wild Wings for dinner with my Grandpa Mikey!

I am learning to use a sippy cup. I only like these ones from The First Years. They have Cars (Lightning McQueen) on them. I also have one that is green and has Elmo! Mom was really sad that I didn't like the other ones, but the handles got in my way! I'm not that good at using it yet, but I get better and better everyday. I usually just get water that has added fluoride for my teeth, but sometimes Mommy gives me Gerber White Grape juice or Motts for Tots apple juice. For a treat, I get 100% juice Cran-Raspberry. That is my favorite juice and Mommy's too! : )

Evan's Doctor Appointment

Yesterday Evan went to the doctor for his 6 month check-up! He got another A+! He is SO good at the doctor- he gets very shy, but he doesn't complain and lets Dr. Hillery poke and prod at him. He has had a weird diaper rash and Dr. Hillery said that that was probably because he was developing a skin sensitivity to the diapers or wipes we are using. So, Eric went out and grabbed some Huggies at the store. After only ONE Huggies, his rash is all better. We also are putting on some Hydrocortisone cream so it won't itch so much, because she noticed that he seemed to want to scratch.

Evan's Stats:
Birth- 8 lbs. 5 oz. 20 inches
6 months- 18 lbs. 8 oz. 27 inches

I CANNOT FOR THE LIFE OF ME FIGURE OUT HOW TO PUT TEXT, PICTURES, TEXT, PICTURES... DRIVING ME CRAZY! IF YOU KNOW, PLEASE COMMENT & TELL ME!

Anyways, the pictures above are then and now..
